Argentinian Town Adopts New Flag

OCTOBER 10, 2024 — The town of Estación General Paz, in Colón, Córdoba, Argentina, announces that it is officially adopting a new flag today, according to Argentinian news outlet El Despertador. The design, created by students from a local school, IPET N°85 “República de Italia,” emerged from a public competition. The announcement was made on Instagram by the municipal government.

The flag features three vertical stripes: orange, symbolizing unity, companionship, and community collaboration; white, representing peace and the purity of its people; and sky blue, reflecting the security and perseverance that define the residents of Estación General Paz.

The winning design was selected by a jury of local authorities, and the official presentation of the flag will take place in a ceremonial flag-raising event scheduled for a date to be determined.
