Largest-Ever Kazakhstan Flag Unfurled for Republic Day

OCTOBER 22, 2024 — In preparation for Republic Day, the largest-ever Kazakhstan flag has been displayed on the facade of a building by activists from the Amanat party, reports Astana TV.

According to the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda, Republic Day commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty on October 25, 1990. The massive flag measures 24 by 12 meters (approximately 78.7 by 39.4 feet).

Akerke Iskanderov, chair of the youth wing of Amanat, stated, “The main goal of this action is to develop a sense of patriotism among young people and citizens of our country. We want our people to always look at the flag and feel only pride for our independence and for our country.”

In addition to this record-breaking flag, the Amanat party plans to install over 10,000 flags by October 25 to further celebrate the nation’s independence.
