OCTOBER 24, 2024 — Sierra de la Ventana, a village in Argentina, is inviting residents to design a new flag as part of its 117th-anniversary celebration, reports Noticias Tornquist.
The design competition, open to residents aged 13 and over, aims to capture the history, culture, geography, and spirit of the village. Submissions will be accepted from October 23 to November 25, 2024. The winning design will be revealed during the village’s anniversary event on January 17, 2025.
Although there is no official record of the village’s founding, January 17, 1908, has been commemorated as the village’s establishment date, as it marks the issuance of the first land deeds, according to the history of the town.
