OCTOBER 30, 2024 — On October 24, 2024, a proposed municipal flag for Ribera del Fresno in Spain has been unveiled, Revista Grada reports.
Miguel Calvo Verdú, a heraldry expert, presented his design proposal for the town’s first official flag and three proposals to the municipal coat of arms in a meeting with Mayor Miguel Ángel Araya Salguero.
This proposal comes after an initiative launched in July by Mayor Araya, who emphasized the need for a committee of experts to ensure the flag and coat of arms reflect Ribera del Fresno’s history and symbols accurately.
The town council will review the proposed designs in an upcoming municipal plenary session, determining if the flag can proceed to the next stages of formal approval.
