Russian Naval Aviation Receives Its First Official Flag

NOVEMBER 13, 2024 — In a ceremony of Russian Naval Aviation, Admiral Aleksandr Alekseyevich Moiseyev presented the fleet’s new official flag to Major General Andrei Pakhomov, Chief of Naval Aviation, Russian media Vzglyad reports.

For the first time, Russia’s Naval Aviation has received an official flag, now designated to be flown at all Naval Aviation units and airfields.

The flag features a golden anchor with wings on its anchor chain, symbolizing both naval service and the agility of flight.

Major General Pakhomov expressed hope that the flag would motivate Naval Aviation crews in their service at sea and beyond.

At the event, several Naval Aviation servicemen were also honored with awards in recognition of their distinguished service.
