NOVEMBER 20, 2024 — The local government of Ribadavia in Spain formalized its coat of arms and flag on Tuesday following the approval of decrees recognizing their official status, reports La Región.
The Heraldic Commission of the Xunta de Galicia, the advisory body overseeing the heraldry of Galician municipalities, had issued a favorable report on the designs during its October 28 session, paving the way for their recognition.
Ribadavia’s flag features a blue background with a white tower at its center, flanked by a yellow sun and moon.
This design, alongside the town’s coat of arms, had been in unofficial use for some time but lacked formal approval until now.
