DECEMBER 4, 2024 — Andalusia in Spain celebrated its third annual flag day today, according to the Spanish newspaper ABC.
The event, established by a decree in November 2022, honors the region’s flag while commemorating the historic autonomy demonstrations of 1977, according to a press release by the government.
The central celebration, led by the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, took place at the Palacio de San Telmo in Seville.
On December 4, 1977, approximately two million Andalusians participated in demonstrations across the region, advocating for greater autonomy.
