DECEMBER 9, 2024 — President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree today introducing an official emblem and flag for Ukraine‘s Foreign Intelligence Service (SZRU), Militarnyi reports.
According to the decree, the SZRU’s emblem features a graphite-gray cross with a blue medallion in its center, displaying the Sign of the Princely State of Volodymyr the Great. Encircling the medallion is the Latin phrase “OMNIA VINCIT VERITAS” (“TRUTH TRIUMPHS ALL”). The design also includes three upward-pointing arrows and a downward-facing key stylized with a QR code linking to the SZRU’s official website.
The medallion’s elements, including the arrows, key, and inscription, are gold.
The flag is a graphite-gray rectangle with a width-to-length ratio of 2:3. In the upper left corner, there are two horizontal stripes in blue and yellow. The SZRU emblem is centered on the right half of the flag, with a height measuring two-thirds of the flag’s width. The design is mirrored on both sides.
Established in 2004, the Foreign Intelligence Service plays a critical role in collecting, analyzing, and evaluating foreign information to safeguard Ukraine’s national security interests.
