Russian Ministry of Education to Establish Official Flag

JANUARY 20, 2025 — The Russian Ministry of Education has announced plans to establish an official flag to be displayed prominently at its headquarters and during official ceremonies, according to reporting by RBC.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the ministry’s visual identity.

The flag, described as a light blue rectangular cloth featuring the Russian national flag and the ministry’s heraldic emblem.

“The flag will be constantly raised at the ministry’s building, as well as placed in the working offices of the minister, his deputies, and in the collegium hall,” explained the ministry’s press service, according to Pobeda RF.

In addition to being displayed at the ministry’s headquarters, the flag will be used during official ceremonies and events organized by the ministry and its subordinate organizations.

A draft order detailing the establishment of the flag has been published on the Federal Portal for Draft Regulatory Legal Acts.

The public has until January 31 to provide feedback on the proposal. This project aims to symbolize the ministry’s identity and unity through an official emblem visible at key events and locations.
