FEBRUARY 12, 2025 — The village of Brătușeni, part of Brătușeni Commune in Moldova’s Briceni District, has officially adopted a new flag and coat of arms.
The symbols were approved by the local council on January 21, and formally registered by presidential decree on February 6.
The flag consists of a square field vertically divided into red and yellow. In the canton, it features the golden trident of the Cupcici family.
The coat of arms is a shield in red and gold. It displays an antique, naked athlete on horseback in a leaping position, symbolizing strength and agility. In the upper section of the shield, the red field bears the golden Cupcici trident, while the gold field features a green branch of Viburnum opulus with two leaves and red berries. The shield is topped with a golden mural crown.
