Bashkortostan Marks State Flag Day

FEBRUARY 25, 2025 — Bashkortostan in Russia is celebrating State Flag Day today, commemorating the adoption of its official flag in 1992, reports Sterlegrad.

The flag, featuring blue, white, and green horizontal stripes with a golden stylized kurai flower in the center, symbolizes clarity of thought, peace, and eternal life.

The adoption of the flag coincided with the renaming of the Bashkir ASSR to the Republic of Bashkortostan, marking a significant moment in the region’s history.

Bashkortostan’s Head, Radiy Khabirov, addressed residents on the occasion, according to BashInform.

“Our flag brings together all residents of the republic, regardless of nationality, religion, age, or profession. It reminds us of the achievements and contributions of our people and inspires new accomplishments,” Khabirov stated on social media.
