MARCH 16, 2025 — The village of Pîrlița, located in Fălești District in Moldova, has officially approved its coat of arms and flag, ending a years-long delay caused by technical issues, the Ziarul de Fălești reported on Facebook yesterday.
The Pîrlița Village Council approved the administrative-territorial symbols, including the village’s coat of arms and flag, as well as the regulations for their use.
The symbols were designed in 2014 by the National Commission of Heraldry but had not been implemented due to technical obstacles.
The village flag is described as a square canvas, divided per rayonny in white and black.
The coat of arms features a black field displaying the emblem of the Order of the Golden Fleece: a golden ram’s skin hanging from a red flint stone, surrounded by six golden flames. The emblem is suspended from a golden chain emerging from the top of the shield.
It is flanked by two golden spindles with red threads and positioned above a silver horseshoe with red nails. The top of the shield is adorned with silver flames and is crowned with a golden village crown.
