JULY 1, 2025 — La Falda, a town in Argentina, is one step closer to establishing a new symbol of local identity, with 19 flag designs submitted for consideration in a city-wide competition, according to El Diario de Carlos Paz.
The initiative, launched by the municipality in accordance with Ordinances No. 3696 and No. 3752, aims to create an official flag that captures the spirit and uniqueness of La Falda. Submissions closed recently, and a jury will convene on July 4 in the Leopoldo Marechal Hall to evaluate the proposals and select the winning design.
According to the organizers, the goal is to develop a flag that reflects the city’s geography, history, culture, flora, fauna, landscapes, and traditions.
“We want to thank everyone who participated with their creativity and commitment in this great contest,” said the municipal team behind the project.
This move by La Falda mirrors a similar effort in neighbouring Villa Carlos Paz, which adopted its official flag in November 2024 during the celebration of the Day of Carlospacense Identity.
