AUGUST 22, 2025 — Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, issued a public statement on the occasion of National Flag Day, according to Russian news outlet URA.RU.
Her message was published on her official Telegram channel.
“Standing under the banner of one’s country is both an honour and a responsibility. Today we celebrate National Flag Day of Russia,” Zakharova noted.
The Russian National Flag Day is observed each year on August 22, following its establishment in 1994 by presidential decree.
Commemorative events, ceremonies, and public activities take place across the country to mark the date.
