The Ministry of Defence’s tweet accompanied an announcement about Spanish Defence Minister Margarita Robles’s participation in an informal meeting of European Union defence ministers in Copenhagen. The shield appears disproportionate, with irregular shapes and non-standard details.
Spanish law, specifically Royal Decree 2964/1981, mandates the precise design and proportions of the national coat of arms on the flag.
