SEPTEMBER 6, 2025 — The State Duma of the Russian Federation is discussing the possibility of introducing a unified sports uniform, designed in the colours of the Russian national flag, for schoolchildren across the country, reports Life.ru.
The initiative was revealed during the 10th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok by Oleg Matytsin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports.
Matytsin stated that the Ministry of Sport generally supports these recommendations, while the Ministry of Education has voiced concerns over how such initiatives could be implemented practically, citing issues of logistics and adaptation across Russian regions.
The debate unfolded at the Eastern Economic Forum, held from September 3 to 6 under the theme “Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity.”
Alongside the discussion on sports uniforms, participants also examined broader education-related reforms.
