OCTOBER 5, 2025 — In Kyrgyzstan, the city of Orlovka has chosen a new official flag to commemorate its 13th anniversary, following a public design competition organized by the mayor’s office, reports Tumush.
More than twenty proposals were submitted, with the final selection made by a special commission. The winning design was created by local resident Kulukan Bakasova.
The flag features a diagonal division of blue and white, representing forward movement, progress, and the city’s commitment to renewal. The blue section symbolizes the clear sky, loyalty, peace, and spiritual elevation, while the white portion reflects purity, truth, and the openness of Orlovka’s people.
At the centre, a golden eagle soars above golden mountains. The eagle stands for strength, freedom, and pride, embodying the city’s independent spirit and historical significance. The golden hues of both the eagle and mountains highlight Orlovka’s wealth, prosperity, and its vital natural resources, which underpin its life and growth.
