NOVEMBER 29, 2025 — Albania commemorates Flag Day and the 113th anniversary of its Declaration of Independence yesterday on November 28, reports City News Albania.
The celebration centres on the moment in 1912 when the national flag was officially raised, symbolizing the establishment of an independent Albanian state.
In a commemoration focusing on the national symbol, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama marked the 70th anniversary of the birth of Adem Jashari, one of the founders of the separatist militia Kosovo Liberation Army.
According to Telegrafi, Rama asserted that Jashari’s birthdate, which falls on Flag Day, is not merely a chronological accident but is intrinsically tied to the Albanian struggle for freedom.
