DECEMBER 6, 2025 — The search for a vexillological identity for the Argentine village of Los Hornillos has entered its final phase, says the Córdoba Interior Informa, with residents recently concluding a vote to select a new flag.
According to a post on Instagram by the communal authorities, the selection process was initially announced on September 4, operating under the slogan “Elegimos juntos nuestra Bandera” (We choose our flag together). The administration collaborated with the Villa Dolores branch of the Provincial University of Córdoba, specifically enlisting students from the Graphic Design program to draft the potential symbols.
This academic cooperation resulted in the submission of 11 distinct proposals, which were subsequently put forward for public review.
Voting was conducted primarily through the commune’s official social media channels, where the student-created designs were displayed for feedback. The window for public participation remained open until Friday, December 5, 2025.
Communal President Carolina Caballero stated that the students captured their ideas and creativity in more than 10 designs to project what would represent the town.
Following the close of the online polls, the administration is expected to tabulate the results to determine which of the student designs will be adopted as the official flag of Los Hornillos.
