JANUARY 1, 2026 — The community of Woodhall Spa, of Lincolnshire, England, has officially dedicated its new village flag, culminating a months-long project driven by local engagement and creative participation, reports Lincolnshire World.
The flag was raised for the first time in a ceremony held on Saturday, December 20, near the village’s Millennium Gardens.
The initiative was spearheaded by Woodhall Spa Rotary in collaboration with the Woodhall Parish Council, St Andrew’s Primary School, and local businesses. The core of the project involved a flag design competition hosted at St Andrew’s School, where children were invited to submit designs that they felt best represented the Lincolnshire village.
The winning submission was created by St Andrew’s pupil Jack Roworth, whose twin sister, Evie, was named runner-up.
The final selection was made following a joint vote by members of the Rotary Club and the parish council.
