FEBRUARY 11, 2026 — In Spain, the regional government of Castile-La Mancha has formally granted official municipal symbols to the localities of Chinchilla de Montearagón and Pulgar, reports Torrijos Today.
For Chinchilla de Montearagón, located in the province of Albacete, the government approved both a coat of arms and a flag. The heraldry features a green field displaying a silver wall with two large towers, behind which a three-towered castle rises. The design is further distinguished by two black eagles perched on the lateral towers and two deer in natural colours positioned in the upper section. The shield is topped with the Spanish royal crown.
The accompanying flag is a rectangular green field with a 2:3 ratio, featuring the newly authorized coat of arms at its centre. While the government has provided these specific heraldic descriptions, a full visual rendering of the Chinchilla de Montearagón flag is not yet available to the public.
Simultaneously, the municipality of Pulgar in the province of Toledo has adopted its own official flag. This design utilizes a blue field with a length-to-width ratio of 2:1. The banner is charged with a green diagonal band outlined in white, with the town’s existing coat of arms placed in the centre of the composition.
