Missouri: Branson Unveils New Flag to Replace Logo Design

MARCH 29, 2026 — The City of Branson, Missouri, has introduced a new flag intended to serve as a unifying civic symbol, says Ozarks First.

Unveiled by local officials during the annual State of the City address on March 24, the new banner features the current official city logo set against a red, white, and blue colour scheme.

According to municipal statements, the timing of the release and the selection of the palette were chosen to align with the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.

The initiative to modernize the city’s identity was a year-long collaborative project involving the Board of Aldermen and the Branson Chamber of Commerce, with the design process directed by Heather Hermen and Duane Stout.

Alderman Marshall Howden, who spearheaded the effort, characterized the introduction as “creating a shared moment for our community.”

This new emblem replaces the previous white flag featuring a city logo adopted in 1999.

That original design was the result of a community committee led by then-city manager John Pinch and spokesperson Jerry Adams, which synthesized various citizen submissions into a single logo representing the region’s lakes and musical heritage, according to a 2007 article by Gregory Holman.
