JUNE 27, 2026 — The municipality of Valle Hermoso, located in the Argentine province of Córdoba, has officially launched a public contest to design its first official municipal flag, reports La Estafeta Online.
This initiative, part of the provincial legislature’s “Nuestra Bandera” program, opens the design process to all local residents regardless of age. Submissions will be accepted from June 29 until July 27, 2026, with the official selection process scheduled to begin on July 28, a date designated to mark Valle Hermoso’s future Flag Day.
A jury composed of municipal authorities and educational and community representatives will select three finalists before crowning the winning entry.
To participate, contestants must submit hand-drawn designs on horizontal A4 paper using traditional artistic mediums, though collages and digital designs are excluded from the competition.
Official rules prohibit the inclusion of text, numbers, pre-existing logos, coat of arms, or any political and religious symbolism.
