JULY 12, 2026 — The city of Damascus, Georgia, in the United States, has officially adopted a new flag following a council resolution passed on May 19, says Early County News.
Local authorities indicated that the resolution formally designated the emblem to represent the municipality while repealing any prior conflicting municipal measures.
The newly adopted flag features a primarily blue field bordered by a black trim, with a horizontal, wavy white stripe separating the blue upper section from a green base.
Centred on the flag is a detailed circular landscape emblem positioned beneath the arched, white text of the city’s name. The central graphic depicts a locomotive on tracks, a tractor, the sun, and regional agricultural crops, including prominent cotton plants. Stalks of grain and piles of harvested crops flank a lower banner reading “GEORGIA”, which sits directly above the year “1914”.
