JULY 18, 2026 — Tornquist, in the Buenos Aires province of Argentina, has launched an official design competition to establish a flag for the tourist town of Sierra de la Ventana, reports La Arena.
The initiative is titled “Una Bandera para Sierra” (A Flag for Sierra) and aims to create a symbol representing the community’s local identity, history, and values for future generations.
According to guidelines, the contest is open to all institutions and individuals over the age of 13 who were either born in Sierra de la Ventana or currently reside there. Organizers have noted that prior graphic design experience is not a requirement for entry.
Submissions will be accepted between September 7 and September 18, 2026, at the Sierra de la Ventana Cultural Centre.
